Terms of Use
Last updated 2026-11-08
These terms apply when you use Evenkeel, a free service run by Surendar PD. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Evenkeel.
What Evenkeel is
Evenkeel helps you keep track of shared expenses and who owes whom. It is a record-keeping tool only. It does not move, hold or send money, and it is not a bank, payment service, or financial, tax or legal advisor. Payments you record happen outside the app, between you and the other people.
Your account
- You must be at least 13, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live (or have a parent or guardian's permission).
- Give accurate information and keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from Account.
Your content
You own what you enter. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it to the people in your groups, only to run the app. Check amounts yourself: balances are calculated from what you and others enter, and receipt scans are automated and can be wrong.
Acceptable use
Don't use Evenkeel to:
- add or invite people who don't know you, send spam, or harass anyone;
- enter information about others that you have no right to share;
- break the law, or record anything illegal or fraudulent;
- attack, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer or get around the limits or security of the service.
We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules or put the service or other people at risk.
Availability
Evenkeel is free and provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Features and limits may change, and we may stop the service with reasonable notice where possible.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for disputes between you and other people about money you recorded, and our total liability for any claim is limited to CAD $50. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
Privacy
How we handle personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and tell you in the app about significant changes. Continuing to use Evenkeel after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and of the province where the operator resides.
